I can't deny the logic on more RAM, but like you stated, some games do use the PageFile, I noticed many "Windows Performance" issues arise whilst playing GTAV and having my PageFile as low as 1GB on my SSD, even up to 3GB on my OS SSD, and up to 7GB on my games SSD still caused issues.
I'd pop it on the Games drive as you're doing and allow the system to manage it to save headaches, or if you want the bare minimum then you can of course allocate smaller amounts until you start to notice the occasional hiccup.
Even with the maximum allocated requirements, I sincerely doubt our SSD's will see the effects of the read/writes as long as we're using them. As much as I'd love to abolish the PF, 32GB of DDR4 isn't exactly affordable (16GB cost me enough in 2015), and my SSD space is a premium, gotta give somewhere though.
