ASUS G701 and heat

Hi all. I just purchased this laptop and when under load (benching, gaming) it runs in the high 80's/low 90's for both the GPU and CPU. No software allows for manual fan control of the GPU. Are those temps normal for this laptop (it's pretty small for what it's packing, so I'm thinking it's ok)

Was able to find some reviews from smaller sources. Temps are within those areas on the reviews, so this bad boy just runs hot but it's normal for this model

Normal for sure. The HK should allow for undervoltingin the BIOS. If not try XTU or Throttlestop.

Anyone know if XTU works for the 7820hk?? That would be awesome cuz the ROG software does not allow voltage tuning

Isn't there vcore control in the BIOS? I was under the impression that HK chips would have this.

When I go into bios, even under the advanced tab, I see nothing really that involves tweaking of any kind. Unless I have to press a key to unlock hidden stuff lol

Interesting! If you need assistance with XTU or Throttlestop send me a PM and I'll link you to a few recent videos of mine to get you started ☺

Thanks! I'm going to download it later and give it a whirl. All I'm really looking to do is lower temps via lower voltage so hopefully it works
