Samsung 960 evo 512gig

Thread Starter
I recently built a new pc with the Samsung 960 evo m.2 and the installation goes perfect, install motherboard driver disk, install windows update for windows10 home and all works great. Reboots very quickly and no issues it would seem until i start to plug my music equipment which is usb. After its plugged when i reboot i get the big SAD FACE saying something went wrong and it wont reboot or repair i basically have to reinstall windows completely. If i use a regular SATA drive of course it takes much longer to install Windows but in the end after i plug all my equipment i have no issues at all. Is there a driver or a fix for the EVO that im missing?

Thanks in advance

Did you install the Samsung NVMe driver? It sounds like a configuration issue, if it's fine till you plug in music usb? whatever that is. Check the windows event viewer for errors. May give a hint what is going on. Is it trying to boot from the usb device check boot order?

That is quite strange! So once the error occurs the system is dead until a reinstall?
