Hey guys,

Looking for recommendations for best mobo for 1600 around $150. Looking to overclock, and game on a single GPU. Wireless is a plus.

Thanks in advance,

For $150 you can buy a X370 board.

The B350 boards out right now are pretty lacking in the overclocking department. The only one that is an exception would likely be the MSI B350 Pro Carbon.

The other B350 board coming soon would be the ASUS B350-F STRIX.

For $150 I would probably go for the ASUS X370 Prime Pro though.

I would also like to know as 16 gb of 3200 samsung b-die costs 160-180 usd where as 16 gb of cheap 3000 cas 16 costs ~ 110 usd and cheap 3200 cas 16 costs ~130 usd.

Ryzen likes higher clk so 3200 if at all possible. Mem support is a bit better now but b-die will be more apt(less of a gamble) to run at rated speed, imo worth the price difference but each must decide.

I've never heard of different types memory aside from speeds. Can you educate me on it?

Also, for the original reasons stated above would a cheap board better suit my needs?

I have the Asrock x370 Killer SLI/AC and I love it. It's around $145 on Newegg.

Samdung b-die would be something like the Gskill FlareX 3200 cas 14. A good chance on 3600 and faster.
