Sorry wrong section, can someone delete it plz =)
Hi,
I'm kinda new to overclocking.
I'm using OCCT to validate current OC.
I'm running a 4790K into an Asus Maximus Formula VII with 8 GB of Kingston HyperX Beast series XMP DDR3 2400MHz CL11.
Actually the voltage applied to the cpu is 1.22V. I started from 1.25V and now i'm going down 0.01V by 0.01V to find the critical voltage.
The CPU is OC at 4.5Ghz (BLCK ratio is 45).
OCCT say that the current clock during the test is 4597Mhz and i dont understand why i have this 97MHZ delta.
May someone tell me what are the other parameters i could change too in order to improve this OC except the VID applied to the CPU ?
I've noticed something weird to me. Before i tried to OC, i was running the standard conf with turbo boost stuff.
And i'm getting better results on 3Dmarks with it than the current OC. How this could be explained ?
Fire Strike was 19203 before OC and 18756 after
Thanks for the help !
Here are the graphs from OCCT bellow.
