Nvidia Volta is the next GPU architecture that Nvidia is bringing to the table after the very successful Pascal architecture. We have seen the professional series Volta GPUs that were announced recently but we have yet to see an Nvidia Volta-based gaming GPU from the company. Word has it that we might be able to see a Nvidia Volta-based gaming GPU at Computex.
Q4 release, If they do rush out a single card for Q2 or Q3, It'll probably be a GV102. I don't think GV104 will be announced as it's not able to outpace the GP102 unless GV102 is 600mm and GV104 is 400-500mm.
Nvidia doesn't mind going big as long as they make money.
I guess im scratching my head on why nvidia is so quick to release more gpus. I dont see why they would be so fast on outdating thier new stuff. Its got me wondering about vega... Do they know something we dont?

I wonder if Nvidia are nervous as AMD has shown competence with the CPU line (Ryzen,TR & EPYC), and are taking reactionary steps just in case AMD is bringing the same strategy and competence to the soon to pending GPU lines.
Nervous people do unpredictable things...We'll see.
