I'm thinking someone needs to create and consolidate a Computex Megathread in the next 90 minutes or so.

Really interesting case, though probably a massive pain planning out compatible components.

So sad I recently bought an ATX motherboard and a MC5 mad.gif

The Shift X is definitely a head-turner. Can't help thinking it would be more compact if it was designed from the ground up for 240-280mm rads (rather like the Corsair One). It leaves the X rather inefficient -- the extra height (and overall volume) of the 'X' over the vanilla Shift is just a 'stretch upward' to accommodate that 280mm rad vertically, and leaves rather a lot of empty space..still it is somewhere to show off an over-sized tube res...

I've been a fan of the FT03 vertical form factor and it's nice to see other manufacturer's making some improvements for wcing. The Shift looks like it will meet most people's requirements for basic wcing including room for a hybrid GPU cooler and AIO on the CPU.

The Shift X does look a bit tall with some wasted space, but the only way to really compress it without changing the overall layout would be angling the rad. And that won't gain you a lot with the PSU in the way. Something like a vertical Ghost S1 would be the only way to really compress things with wcing. Of course, this would limit the components you could use even more which isn't something Phanteks would want to do.

Always loved monolithic type cases and vertical instead of horizontal. I went with a Rosewill Rise for that reason but never got around to watercooling it or getting a 2P board for it; which didn't really fulfill it's potential. I like how this is more compact overall and geared towards current aesthetics than my Rise.

I do like the look of the Shift. Not so keen on the height of the X, though it does look quite nice when horizontal.
