For who is not already aware of, I would also like to advise not to use any psu extensions unless you are willing to store extra cabling inside the case as there is just not that much room behind the back pannel for storing cabling.

Shift X should give you a lot of extra clerence down even with a rad at the bottom compared to Shift but be aware of the width of the card as well if you are using a front rad like a 240 or a 280 like me.and yes you should be able to rotate the card although I do belive both cables might be the same from the videos I've seen andy own Shift X.

Is your GPU the one in your sig? And is it a AIB card or a hybrid based off of the reference design? It almost seems as though it's just long enough to allow it if it's a reference/FE card. I saw a YouTuber try to do the fan-out way with the Shift for a FTW card and that did not go well redface.gif.

Just tried installing a Silverstone SX500-LG in a Swift and it does not fit, the power connectors crush up against the cable organizing panel. I am very disappointed with this so now I need to go to Microcenter and pick up a Corsair SFX unit which should fit.

I just finished the build in the Shift and i was impressed overall but a few things disappointed me. Ive been through over 20 cases in the past 10 years or so ive been around. Phanteks claims support for SFX-L PSU's but this is not true, i had a Silverstone SX500-LG and there is not enough space from the PSU power connectors and the cable management bracket to run cables. I tried orientating the PSU in multiple directions and every time the cables get crushed and you would most likely destroy something trying to force the PSU in. I ended up installing a Corsair SF450 which is almost 2' shorter in height.

The second thing is the GPU bracket. They claim you can rotate it so the GPU fans face the glass but this is not true because the riser cable is not long enough and puts excessive pressure on the PCI-E slot. You would basically need a mini gpu that wouldnt make contact with the power supply since you cant slide the gpu over enough in said orientation.

Other then this i am very impressed with the overall quality and execution!

Deciding if I should swap this for my Ncase M1 V5. Thoughts? Also, is the Shift X worth the price premium?

The extra Headroom the X provides for future expansion such as custom water cooling support i think is worth the premium.

Well, in the case's defense, the Silverstone unit has protruding connections that not a lot of other PSUs have. Finding a SFX-L PSU and using a paracord custom cable would probably alleviate that issue.
