Ok so basically I have bad usb ports on my mother board.
They work intermittently, but they always work. Which is annoying.
some work better than others also.
Basically if I plug a wifi usb into it, I get spotty internet.
if I plug a keyboard in, it sometimes doesn't recognize my taps, that kind of thing.
Can I shut off my usb hub entirely through bios then install a pcie usb hub as a replacement?
or will that mess up booting somehow?
I'll admit I'm not very good with the uefi bios, as I tried doign this before and ended up unable to boot my computer
because it wouldn't recognize the pcie usb hub until windows booted, and thus I had no keyboard to boot with!!
advice?
thanks!
