All GDDR5x is Micron. Nobody else makes it. I suspect the reason the lightning VRAM is clocking better is because its using the late-model GDDR5x batch that were originally binned for the Titan Xp (those could mostly do +800-> +1000). That and also extra GDDR5x voltage.

As this is a msi card using msi afterburner are all the voltage sliders maxed still giving full warrenty ?

Got mine yesterday - very impressive card. Using an Mnpctech GPU bracket just as a precaution for my poor PCI-E slot...this thing is huge!!

Ln2 bios thoughts please guys, any extra oomph worth talking about ?
What about hash rates and max ln2bios memory oc ?
Would be nice to earn a few pence back per month to make up for the gigantic cost.
Thanks

Default BIOS with no OC (just Power Limit and Temp Limit maxed) boosts to 1987 MHz. Playing with OC now - looking like around 2050 MHz will be my max. Using ARK: Survival Evolved as a stability test, for now.

EDIT: Pumped out some 3DMark - I crash at +80 Core Clock at any voltage (standard BIOS), but +75 made it through 4 different 3DMark benches just fine.

10,398 Time Spy - http://www.3dmark.com/spy/2108195
7,533 Fire Strike Ultra - http://www.3dmark.com/fs/13179708
13,977 Fire Strike Extreme - http://www.3dmark.com/fs/13179751
23,292 Fire Strike - http://www.3dmark.com/fs/13179805

It goes without saying - but no temp issues at all.

Been playing with the LN2 BIOS, boosts to 2063 MHz stable so far (benches and ARK). Now OC'ing memory. EDIT: +350 mem clock seems to be a peak? At +400 no crash but my Time Spy result was lower than the +350 (everything else was the same). Max temp 52C.

10,446 Time Spy - http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/21189569? (rig and OC details in notes of result on 3DMark's site)

Posted the BIOS files for my cards (default, LN2) up on my site. I'm not allowed to post the site here though. Head over to HardOCP's forums if you want to get the link.

EDIT: 30 minutes of Unigine Superposition stress testing (DirectX, fullscreen, 1440p, high textures), max values from GPU-Z shown (hits 2076 MHz but it is not for long):

EDIT2: 60 minutes of Unigine Superposition stress testing (same settings as above).

So the 1080 Ti maxes out at about 85c - 90c. Who's going to use ln2 bios, 100% fans, and push the voltage until this monster hits 80c - 85c core and try for 2200 core speed? These cards will probably do it. Someone's just gotta have the balls enough to try. I've been hunting around online and I swear -NO ONE- anywhere on youtube that "Reviewed" these cards will even try to push em to their max. Every single last one of the "Reviewers" just plop it in and try to overclock it and go "Oh it's just like all the other 1080 ti's", they don't even try ln2 bios mode and push volts through it. That's like literally the only unique feature of this card and the entire reason to buy it: the ln2 bios option. Without that it's just a normal 1080 Ti.

I've been thinking of saving up to buy one potentially but not until I find someone to really push one to it's limits and see where the real max clocks are.

These should at least be able to hit 2100 minimum easy.
