I haave begun shopping for my new x299 build hhopefully by the end of the year. My current system is up to date in my profile so I was wondering if I should get a new case? Mainly because on a new board I would be missing out on USB 3.1 front ports and USB-C and the like. I did some digging around and couldn't really find a good case similar to my current one. Any suggestions? The most important is being about to top mount a 360mm radiator. And more than 2 front 5.25'' drive bays.
I would say that the USB 3.1 Type C will be your limiting factor for finding a case.
There are only a few out there. I believe that Lian Li has a few but they are missing the front drive bays.
The Lina Li I have has room for 3 360mm rads. but no drive bays.
I know thats why I haven't been able to find the case I want. I'll probably wind up keeping the one I have and just add extra USB 3.0 or 3.1 ports via 3.5" drive bay.
