I've downclocked and overclocked the memory but doesn't make a difference, the power limit does.

There are Doublers on the front & back of the PCB. Use thermal pad to contact them with the backplate to resolve it on the backplate... It will help a little. Need to cool & contact on the other side first to see 50% reduction in heat & power.

Epic results my friend... got any pics of your system & gpu?

Check out the Prototype AMD VEGA 56 Dudes !! It looks cool & like a Nano... Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

That looks stupid. They should've just made it 2 fan version, imho.

Also if you're quoting more than one person use the multi quote option, it's there for a reason, so you don't post each reply in a seperate post.

After receiving my new Vega 64 Liquid, i noticed i had the exact same noise coming from the radiator block, i tried to unmount the block, put it in my hand and power on the PC, and surprise, NO noise AT ALL.

COMPLETLY SILENT.

So i tried to mount it in differents placements, orientations but nothing helped really except if i don't put the screws all the way in with putting foam between the block and the case, that decreased the noise by like 70% but i can still hear it (so annoying i can hear it through my headset), any tips ?

I wanted to try with zip ties but they aren't long enough, i'll order double faced duct tape and try it that way...

This is exactly what I asked already, if people are having hotspot issues with non-mould+shave dies then the temperature increase could be contributed to the thicker GPU silicon. With the moulded dies the whole package gets polished down to the same height, which you can see is evident by the curved threading left by the machine;

hmmm alright, so that idea seems to be null...? but what paste you using though with what cooling?

I posted my settings and temps to date on page 232 and can confirm that my vega 56 ( does not have molded package as I believe most vega 56's don't and as per advice given about this package, I did not remove any previous tim from between the GPU and the HBM and between the 2 HBM stacks, only removed and cleaned the tim from the surfaces of both.)
with ek bock and using the EK ectotherm tim that came with it gives me gpu temps when bench-marking in the mid 40's, Hbm runs about 3 degrees above that, and hot spot runs about 15 deg above that. For me this ratio and max is consistent in all benches.
I'm using the back plate that came with the card and am considering purchasing the EK back plate but I'm not sure if it will give me any benefit yet.

does anyone know of any reviews sites that have tested CF vega64's ???? I'd like to know exact power consumption figures so I can see if it's worth doing

What do you think?
I have molded chip. BTW how many thermal pads did you have with EK backplate? I had only two (1.5mm and 2mm thick) and I had to cut the first one along to cover vertical VRM group and may be that's the problem:

There are no extra pads for the back of the PCB to make contact with the backplate. Well atleast for me there weren't. It wasn't even listed in the manual. I use the stock backplate, btw. The EK one was too expensive for just a backplate.

yes, they were with in backplate package as I mentioned above
