Was it a step down though? I guess in a sense it was but to me, over all, it still played just as well as JC2. I think the issue was that the setting was too plain and boring. The game play itself is fine but the setting and atmosphere is just off.

Either way, I think multiplayer will certainly make it more enjoyable to play around. The physics are certainly better!

"From the developer that supports itself with free-to-play hunting simulators, comes the game series that's movie adaptation is most likely to be directed by Michael Bay."

That's from the Honest Trailer for these games: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=W0mvCLsby5Y

In all seriousness though I've never played this game and am quite surprised why it took so long to have multiplayer. I thought it would be pretty standard for all games to have MP.

From what I understand there's no ai, no missions, can't do simple stuff like tether things (really fun btw). All this mod is is the game world and you with other players. You can spawn in vehicles. That's going to take all of 20 min to get really boring.

Seems like it's almost not worth mentioning. People that want MP in this game want MP in the full game, not some empty world to play around in. There's enough really good open world sandbox games out there that this seems pretty sad in comparison.

I've got a friend that I play these kinds of games with, gta v, grw, games like that. If they had a real game here and not just an empty sandbox we'd be on it quick. As is this seems like a sad excuse to push sales.

I do own the game and really have enjoyed the sp experience but almost find this mp mod an insult. Do it right or don't do it at all.

JC3 is definitely a step down from JC2. The JC2 map was infinitely better. It was far more beautiful, had way more, and more fun challenges, and collectibles. The story was extremely better in JC2, even though it lacked as much detail as JC3, the premise to JC2 was far superior. I just could not fall in love with the characters from JC3. Rico is not Rico, and honestly I can't stand the Rico and Mario in JC3. JC3 map is atrocious, it is 75% an empty map, large areas with just absolutely nothing. I will say this, the improved tether was great, wing suit was great, and the fact the map was tailored to tether and wing suit was also great.

When you're creating a single player game... the games gotta be good end of story. They really stepped up the mechanics from JC2, and I can't even give them credit for it because they just ripped all the ideas from the modding community in JC2... which there is NOTHING wrong with that, infact I was happy they gave back to the community what we wanted... but, I can't sit here and say that they spent all there time focusing on mechanics and neglected the story a bit... They already had all those mechanics laid out for them... they just had to implement them... I really don't see an excuse for the utterly bad story line we received. I also don't understand why we can't have 2-4 player online yet. It's 2017, well it was 2015(?)... We need multiplayer nowadays.

They need to make a Just Cause 2.5 and continue on the story from Just Cause 2. Similar map, continue the story and implement all the mechanics of JC3.

JC3 multiplayer is the same as JC2 multiplayer, and this is a mod, not developed by Avalanche.... so it's not do it right or don't do it at all it's.... Thank them for doing it and if you don't want it don't play it.

Doesn't matter. They mention it on the store page like it's a feature so I'll take it as a feature and not a mod.

And no, I won't be playing it.

Really? Not being developed by the developer of the game doesn't matter? It's a mod. Says so right in the friggen picture you posted."The hard working community mod team at Nanos have unleashed their JC3 multiplayer mod..."

It's not a feature, it's a modification to the game such as any other MOD available for the game, this particular one lets you play with others. If it was a feature it'd of been in the base game, and if it was an add-on feature we have this nice acronym to describe that, it's called DLC or downloadable content.

I don't care what it says in the small print. In bold print under Recent Updates it says, "Just Cause 3 Multiplayer Now on Steam"

I don't see anything in bold print saying that there's no story missions, AI or anything worth doing. Get it off your store page.

Just because it's not worth it for you doesn't mean it's not worth being on the store page for others. This is a very stupid complaint.

People are adding additional content, on their own time, and at their own expense.

Not only that but Just Cause 2's multiplayer mod made a irrelevant game, relevant again many years later. I would argue that the success of the mod drove the demand for JC3's development.

Now the developers are returning the favour to the team behind the mod and gave them excellent exposure on their own store page.

You have missed it during the summer sale. Either way, be prepared to get disappointed, way inferior than JC2.

If I have to do another one of those Mother ducking flight-suit courses for skills ... I swear my keyboard has lost some keys

I enjoyed JC3 but I do think JC2 was better, I liked the fact that helicopters were made out of something other than tinfoil.

Although there was nothing more fun than going into a base with a 4x4, reprogramming a SAM site and hitching it to the back of the 4x4 and driving around capturing points. Mobile SAMs 4tw !

Yes and no.
Vehicle physics, gunplay, and overall control is vastly improved. Mobility while grappling is an order of magnitude better, that part of the game is highly polished. For what it does well, Just Cause 3 is still the best game on the market.

The opening hours can be a bit of a chore, but unless you get a game breaking glitch (don't attack police stations from a distance, it can put you into a condition where capturing the town may be impossible) any recollection of those opening sequences will fade from memory once play time rolls up past 100 hours.

The problem is the environment in JC3 gets old much, much faster, I'm amazed they haven't created a DLC with new terrain yet (speaking of the DLC, I don't think any of it is worthwhile, the "blue" guns are lame and the new vehicles all feel half baked, though the Sky Fortress is the one new environment that does feel somewhat fresh).

I would agree with this, it's really just the map that ruins the entire game. The story was meh, but repetitiveness of the map just leaves a lot to be desired when exploring. The open fields and desolate lands are only so interesting for so long. JC2 was so much more diverse with the desert, city, rain forest, mountain range, and ocean play... A game like this really needs need to keep it fresh at all times. I feel like they could have done a lot more with the game over all too... JC2 just set the bar so high... I remember playing the demo and just getting so exited to buy the full game and explore the JC2 landscapes.

I got JC3 for free on ps4 (Havent installed pc version yet) and man does it blow compared to JC2. The terrain is meh and the missions are super short and dumb. Im very disappointed with it.

I guess the developers had a lot more time and say so on the second one and the third was just pumped out.
