AMD has announced that it will let the public get its hands on its new RX Vega graphics card in Budapest on July 18th. As AMD noted, on Tuesday, July 18 from 2 to 7 PM, it will be transforming the Akvárium Klub into a PC gaming zone in which it will be bringing rigs powered by Radeon RX Vega with today's most popular games for gamers to try.
Although AMD did not reveal the games that will be showcased, our guess is that the red team will let the public test games that favour its graphics cards, such as DOOM, Sniper Elite 4, Battlefield 1 and PREY. Moreover, AMD did not reveal whether gamers will be able to use any framerate counters (you know, in order to see how these cards perform) or whether these systems will feature a single or two RX Vega GPUs in Crossfire.
Graphics card releases have been so boring for a while now... so many different versions/lame names. Plus you dont even know if they will release a faster card past their supposed fastest card....
No framerates on sniper elite 4 apparently. what is the point of taking Vega on the road if they dont intend to actually showcase it. For all we know it's a freaking GTX 1080 in the system
Booth babes. Because uncovered skin gives you more FPS.
Those silly sexist events must be stopped and need to mature.
The logo is also too cheesy. Less is more.
Focus on the product itself pls.

Well this is pure cringe.. What's the point of this stunt anyway.. its not like its good publicity if you hide the details and use booth babes to distract us from the missing FPS counters >_>

It isnt that bad. Seems to be a way for some people to make (fairly) easy money for little time.
For those that arent impressed by it, well its just extra staff on an event at best. If they were trained well before the event they might also know their stuff and be helpful too.
As for Vega, so far it seems to be a GTX 1080 in this event. AMD is playing the price/performance angle hard. This is worrying for performance.
In a surprise twist it's not vega! Leaving everyone, staff included, dumbfounded :^)
Sorry, couldn't help it.
