My PC boots to the motherboard splash screen then reboots. What's going on?

My specs are in my signature It started happening a couple weeks ago. Basically when I turn on the PC the motherboard splash screen will pop up, but then the PC will reboot itself before booting normally. This only happens every once in awhile and even after my PC reboots at the motherboard splash screen it works normally.

Does anyone know what's going on?

I had this happen to me once back in 2010. For me, it turned out to be my powersupply dying. I couldn't pin point anything wrong with my system. I checked my connections, swapped out ram, swapped out gfx cards just to check and it still did this. Fast forward to a month or two later the PSU went pop and died. Thankfully it didn't take anything else out with it. PSU was about 5 years old at the time and was due for replacement anyway. Looks like you've got a newer PSU but this was just my experience.

Yeah its weird. It does sound like a dying PSU but I don't have the other telltale signs like an inconsistent PSU fan or frequent BSODs. Just the occasional reboot after the motherboard splash screen. My PSU is a highly rated model too so it seems unlikely.
