Hi Lads,
Haven't been here since March, had a parent pass away and have been dealing with that nightmare. Now I'm back and, wouldn't you know, the same problem still here. What's really eating away at me is that the first time I came here to monitor section in MArch a guy gave me some advice and it worked for like 2 days. Since then I've been through various display port cables and HDMI cables, watched I have no idea how many hours of Nvidia tutorials....suffice to say, if it were billable hours I could have bought the entire goddamned $7k system + monitor over again. I'm coming to you all to see if I'm missing something obvious, or else I'm just going to do my best to get the store to take it back, even I have to threaten them with court, whatever needs to be done. I'm not looking to "Screw" them, I just want the functional product I paid for.

Why is the 100 FPS so important to me? I want to be able to purchase Euro Trucker 2 (which I think can even be used in VR, which I also bought anticipating 100FPS) and a flight simulator. Without 100FPS, the entire VR, the entire damn gaming setup is a waste since I don't play normal "games" as such, but wanted to be able to explore Europe through various virtual means since it's apparently not safe to do so in person anymore.

Please excuse my fouls mood, as this is the 5th day of my vacation (counting the weekend) and from sunup to sun down, this is all I've worked on, and to no avail, and I'm not accustomed to putting a lot of work and money and time into something and failing. Anyway, if anyone one has any ideas for what I could try (if anyone is truly expert in such mayors and could tell from a photo of the back of my computer and back of my monitor if something is wrong...) Well, please excuse my poor manners and probably even poorer spelling. I just keep asking myself,"What are the odds, of all the monitors they sent out, MINE would be defective?" Although there are 2 other guys on Amazon who seem to have the same issue so maybe it's not so uncommon.

But, as already stated, those 2 days where I had the thing going up to 100 FPS makes me wonder if it could, could just be me me overlooking something obvious. Thanks lads. Take care, and any input great appreciated more than you can know, as I've been locked in the house now for 6 days now doing nothing but focusing on this. All the best, any input appreciated.

Also, any replies appreciated but everything"obvious" I've tried .Everything.I'm wondering if ROG had to take the goddam thing back now. I don't know, but any input appreciated. Going to take photos of the 2 messages I get when I go through an error. Right now, I have an HDMI and an AMD or AND(?) (the one with the squared edges on all sides). I have no f--king clue. Hoping if I put a photo of the back of my computer, back of my monitor, ad the error messages I get, maybe one of you all will have an idea.Thanks...

AFAIK you will need to use a Displayport cable since the HDMI 1.4 (which is on your monitor) is not capable of pushing your resolution higher than 60Hz.
Gsync will also only work when you use a DP connection.
