So I just built my cousin's computer the other day and as i was reading through the book to make sure there isn't something new on these boards that I should know about I stumbled across the headphone amp section and they show instructions on how to remove the amp chip, which I thought was neat, but with that being said are you actually able to replace it with something new and different from some sort of source or do they need to be special chips?

[edit] google came up with nothing so I decided to look through images and this popped up

So basically, that's freaking cool.
