Thanks for the reply, well Ive been shopping cases with her, and weve settled on the node 804 for its large capacity for hdds. So multiple mechanicals will be needed eventually, but to get her up and running Im thinking a sata ssd for the os, painter, and photoshop, and a few other programs. The mechanicals will be used mainly for storeage but also as the scratch drives for photoshop, so a speedy mechanical would be nice. Im thinking of starting her with a 2tb or so mechanical, and add on as needed.
Would it make sense to get a second smaller ssd for the scratch disk, or is that just going to reduce the life of the ssd, and better off useing the mechanical for the scratch disk. For photoshop I know it utilizes nvidias cuda, but for painter I believe relies on the cpu. Heres painters minimum system requirements,
