Is there any news on upcoming 34" 3440x1440 100hz monitors? Preferably with freesync.
If Vega is somewhat decent, I'm planning on upgrading to it + a new monitor.
A monitor is used everyday and can be used 5-10 easily, but 1000+ euro is too much.
All the 700-900 euro ones have issues, freesync flickering, image retention, input lag, ugly stands, super-gamer look etc. (though even the 1000+ aren't good enough)
If I spend this kind of money, it must be almost without flaws.
I'm also not going to spend that money and get a 60hz panel.
Is there anything on the horizon? Where is LG? It has been almost 1.5 years since the LG 34UC88.
I'd don't need 200hz, and don't want to pay for that premium.
All I want is a 3440x1440 @ 100hz that has excellent image quality (black levels, colors, angles, response time).
I don't think this is so much to ask when you pay 800 euros for only a monitor (my entire PC was 800 euros).
I guess I'll settle for a XF270HUA for 400 euros less... Vega is probably not going to be good enough for 3440x1440 anyway
That would be some feat, considering this panel didn't exist then. I've got word from ASUS of some point in Q1.
Judging by what you've said in this thread so far, you're best off waiting for the current crop to come down in price, as it doesn't sound like you're willing to pay the premium.

Can only speak from experience, but have the Acer X34A. Absolutely stunning panel. Pioneering with new technology always comes with some teething issues, which is why I suggested you look at some of the panels that are available to date.
Probably never since newer panels are not being made as long as old ones with horrifying quality are selling. They would rather sell ton of crap and make money than make good panels and have lower profit.
Look up what panel is used in what products and then figure out which panel do you want and what product gives you the features you want as well. Sadly monitors come with many unfixed issues for a long time and it's only getting worse.
LG is said to be making some new fast panels but no one knows any parameters, specs nor dates.

I don't even think that there is a 10bit 100Hz Ultrawide out there. 8bit + FRC is as high as it gets, with G-Sync even just 8bit afaik.
Alienware released a new G-Sync 3440x1440 100Hz very recently with LGs newest revision of that panel. Less problems than the X34A/PG348 but still not flawless and very pricey.
Probably a newer panel. Don't know there's an announcement but not much is known about it besides 100hz, va, UW. Though looking at the other moddels, I would think that it has vesa

More interested in the BenQ EX3501R, awaiting reviews
