Volta for gaming, we haven't announced anything. And all I can say is that our pipeline is filled with some exciting new toys for the gamers, and we have some really exciting new technology to offer them in the pipeline. But for the holiday season for the foreseeable future, I think Pascal is just unbeatable. It's just the best thing out there. And everybody who's looking forward to playing Call of Duty or Destiny 2, if they don't already have one, should run out and get themselves a Pascal.

Seems like Volta is a 2018 thing after all.

I was expecting this Titan X (Pascal) to be a short lived card when I bought it (especially considering the price) but it sounds like I will keep it a bit longer.

My crazy "I just got a raise" buy seems to have been a little less foolish after all.

If I were on an hd6950 I'd be in a hurry to upgrade. Guessing a 1050 ti would be an improvement.

Outside of that this works for me. I'm happy with my 1080 ti.

In a similar boat here. Not buying a 570 for 200 € in May when prices were still falling bit me pretty hard, and I'm not going to buy a 1050 ti for 190 € nor a 1060 for 320 €. Might as well wait for lower end Vega and Volta, I guess.

As expected. Considering 1080ti came out March of this year. Chance of gaming Volta releasing this year was slim to none to begin with.

I am going to milk my Titan X for all it's worth.

It plays Path of Exile, it plays GTAV and it plays Assetto Corsa.

For now, it's still fine. I only want an upgrade because of OpenCL (or CUDA, either does the job) and because I quite fancy moving to a 4K display.

I just want darn good drivers for my 1080, i don't want your toys.

So we aren't getting the GTX 2080 but we might get a Titan Volta later this year if they decide that "it's not a gaming card" at launch again

Like VEGA 72, but also they must build reputation for such high end hardware to advance.
Nvidia is like a GPU god. God that gimps.

Edit: I like the minumim FPS initiative.
