I know there's a ton of threads about this but I figured to create another one just to maybe get the most updated info regarding this.
I bought a brand new 7700K for my new watercooling build but I still don't have all the parts yet to start the assembly. I will overclock everything to their max potential.
So with this, I know a lot of people will suggest to go ahead for the delid. I'm open to doing it but have some questions in mind:
1) Do I need to put back the IHS (relid) when you do the delidding process? I assume yes so that it can be installed in the CPU socket.
2) Is it always recommended to use liquid metal between the die and the IHS and just the best performing TIM between the IHS and the waterblock to get maximum performance?
3) Do I still get the full 3 year warranty if I relid the CPU properly?
4) Which delid kit is the best to buy and does it come with everything I need including the glue that should be used to relid the CPU?
Thanks in advance for the help!
