You all waited very patiently, and we are deeply grateful for that. So it's my pleasure to finally be able to show you a visualization for our upcoming Threadripper blocks! All three versions will be available for pre-order in our shop tomorrow, starting with a nice 10% pre-order discount. All blocks come with the new, unique easy-mount system, directly mounted through the cold plate with no additional brackets. All mounting screws are driven with an allen key for the easiest mounting experience.

The full copper block is the pure version for copper enthusiasts. A huge copper base plate and a massive top made from one solid piece of copper offer superior cooling performance. Available from November 10th.

The Nickel block offers the unique nickel shinyness for those that don't like the pure copper aesthetics. Also made from two pieces of massive copper, then nickel plated. Available from November 24th.

The Nickel/black version is the jack of all trades. It offers the nickel plated base plate, an acrylic top, and a black anodized front cover. Under this cover, there's a preinstalled RGB LED strip that comes with a black paracord sleeved cable, long enough to directly connect it to the RGB headers found on all current X399 motherboards. Available from November 24th.

All pictures are pre-visualization renders. Especially the inlet/outlet are not rendered in detail and will look more elaborate in the final product. Also, the jet structure will be more elaborate in the final product.
Edit 8/22/2017: Posted the official statement from their side so I replaced my "translated" version with the official statement

Edit 9/8/2017: Edited the release date to 27th September (source)

Sorry again

, missed this post was checking for news from them about this topics since a while, and just today I noticed that the "news" section on their side in ENG language is not updated comparing to the German .... Why they dont make it official in a relevant thread? Its GREAT news! (at least for me)

Maybe we can merge/move it in there? Or just keep it separated? (I just think it should be in the "News" thread) ...

Just wanted to highlight this part in particular for all the other lazy waterblock designers to take note of (coughEKcoughcough). Most seem to have listened after all the flak EK has caught, but I'm frankly frustrated with the company I've been buying blocks from for a while.

Although I do have a Heatkiller Block on my VRM/NB set for my CH V-Z and it's pretty damn good. Probably going to go WC this time around. Especially since EK still hasn't said a peep about a Zenith monoblock. Just 'coming soon' on the product page.

Never thought I could get this frustrated with a company, but they have really pushed my patience this time.

Yeah the ek block looks a bit funny on the TR4... and was also expecting some more improvement not just a bigger plate... well for this im really curious about the heatkiller

Well, in all honesty it makes sense. You CAD (or your program of choice) up the designs, run it through SolidWorks (or your program of choice). CNC the prototypes you've decided on. Finalize the best prototype(s) for production.

At least I have someone to direct my frustration at now. It would be AMD, for not providing aftermarket block manufacturers with samples. You'd think they would have been at the top of the list, especially over people like Bitwit (who?) and considering they aren't shipping with any kind of stock cooler and just a bracket for crappy Asetek AIOs.

I sure hope so. I bought TR on 8/10, release day. Been waiting for a real block since then. Didn't want to waste $50-75 on a crappy AIO I would only use for a month and never again.

Just been sitting here staring at an almost bootable build for the last couple weeks.

Dang it.
Don't even stress it. They haven't actually released it anyways. Seems like they're almost actively ignoring inquires right now. Jakob didn't respond to me and someone posted on their forums yesterday with another reply 6 hours ago asking and they haven't responded.

I don't even care if it's late, just give me a reason and approximate time frame. I swear, companies, even tiny niche ones like Watercool, have zero customer awareness anymore.

Well, not to de-rail this thread - but competition - XSPC and Swiftech where very good at replying to me on Facebook - got estimate dates and honest responses from both companies within hours. Hell, both even volunteered (and Swiftech actually did sent me a facebook msg) to hit me up on facebook once their block is ready for pre-order. (and Swiftech basically bought me with their fast responses -pre-ordered and waiting on the block now).

With that said, I am sure watercool is just busy working on the product and will deliver on their promises.

Their 'promise' was the 6th. That's what I'm complaining about.

As I said, the least they could do is give us a reason. Whether it be as mundane as, 'we forgot,' to as serious as, 'all our prototypes had bad thermals and needed to be scrapped and started from scratch.'

After EK failed me with lazy engineering, WCHK was my backup. They're usually fairly decent at customer service, but...

I bought the Ek block waiting for heatkiller. I was gonna get the XSPC when it dropped at my preferred retailer but I don't like the mount screws. I don't mind giving watercool time to pump something out but an update would be nice because it is the 6th and my wallet is ready. At this rate I might as well wait for a monoblock and see what bitspower is gonna do.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I got tired waiting and just got the EK block. Would be nice to see the final product though and if it's any better than the EK I currently have. My temps on the 1950x are pretty decent so I can't complain.

Hey guys,
sorry for the delayed answer. We know that you are eagerly waiting for this block, and so are we! We WANT to give this block to you. But the way the mounting mechanism of TR4 works, we'd need a new machine to build the mounting system of the new block. So we decided to outsource this specific part of the block, and the subcontractor had a delay in his production queue. We tried to push them as hard as we could for the last couple of days, but after all, the release of the block itself will be postponed ~3 weeks. So, our new ETA is ~September 27th, unfortunately.

We are very sorry for this delay, but we are confident that you will be compensated by the sheer quality of the product!
