ASUS has even said that with the latest GPU drivers from AMD and NVIDIA, the B250 Mining Expert motherboard will support up to 8 x GPUs in multi-GPU mode.
If one were so inclined, I could see this being a rather interesting BOINC gpu rig, but the biggest question is how badly some of the projects might be affected...
I suppose i should have clarified my line there. Seeing it was a bit of a duh moment and suddenly wishing the AsRock H110 BTC had 2 x 24 pin connectors.
Its so that you donty have to mess around with Jumper pins and making sure you get the right spots etc. Its just for ease of use. I dont think they will supply much power to the GPU's as they are connected via a USB cable.
You could fill these up, and run a hypervisor on it, then just divvy out 5-6 cards per vm with pci pass through.
