About to replace my iPhone 6S+ and looking for a good camera, screen size, and display. Seems like pretty basic stuff, but there doesn't seem to be a solid consensus,

Cameras are often subjective because one takes better pictures in high brightness (outdoor) places while others take better nightime or indoor pictures. Many people right now think the Google Pixel has the best camera, but that is of course subjective. lol.
Display is subjective because some love OLED for the contrast it brings, others love LCD on their phones.
Size of screen is different for everyone and often has to do with both hand size and eyesight.

Personally, I dont recommend this phone as I never recommend Samsungs. They are known to be "bloaty" Android that is not as smooth, has delayed updates, many times the updates ruin battery life. I really dont know why Samsung became #1 selling Android brand, they are really the worst of the Android phones.

yes, LG has had it for a while now and some other models are getting it or have had it for a short time as well.

TouchWiz was plenty bad on previous iterations of Samsung flagships, hence why I used custom ROMs and a different launcher for my Galaxy S5. However, the Galaxy S8/S8+ is almost as quick as stock Android and doesn't have so much additional "fluff" that made it sluggish in the past.

Guess it's been a long time since the last time you touched a Samsung.

At this moment, the telephoto cam on the current dual cam setups are all second-grade and is not anywhere close to the setup on Note 8.

V20 was the most disappointing phone I've ever owned. I actually paid to upgrade early.

"The phone's curved body is built from the same blend of metal and glass, and there's an octa-core Snapdragon 835 chip lurking inside, albeit with 6GB OF RAM

Better camera? Do you rate camera based on the number of pixel or smt rolleyes.gif

The main 16MP camera on op5 is the second-rate sensor which Samsung uses on their A series. The tele 20MP camera of op5 is even worse. Both are small sensors, with the tiny pixel size which is useless for low-light shooting.

Beside the cameras, op5 has plenty of other QC problems, and I'm amazed that someone even considered putting it in comparison with a phone like Note 8.

I really don't know what phone will come after probably something lower end as the phone performs fine and lower end phones are a lot better then they where before.
Another thing is that I prefer to stay on a grippy plastic back and replaceable batteries but this will be hard.
Its really a shame that everyone has abandoned plastic for phones.

Sure plastic conducts heat a bit less but its more comfortable, is resistant to visible damage, conducts wireless signals a lot better just to name a few things.
This thumb.gif I like removable battery because i can have a couple of battery for backup purpose. Phones nowadays is all about non-removable battery and slimming down the phone. Anyway thats my opinion. Everyone's opinion is not the same after all.
