Thank you. I will risk and keep my mobo.

Next question. I'm thinking about monoblock. Is this really needed or is it just an extra option for water cooling systems?

Referring to this test, you can see that the VRM on the motherboard has a temperature of 46 degrees after OC. That's a lot for the motherboard?

It’s not really needed for a moderate OC like 4-4.2GHz but if you’re going to OC a lot then you should at least stick a 50mm fan on top of it or a monoblock. I’ve never used a mono block before but this time around I got a couple for my R6E and my wife’s R6A. I was getting over 50c on the VRM with around 4.4-4.7GHz. I think sticking a fan in there makes it Godzilla like which is fine if you don’t care much about aesthethics.

I just finished re-installing everything, including the new monoblock, the DIMM.2 with one drive, and the Hyperx16 with 4 Samsung Evos. (I had, and still have a Samsung Pro under the armor, which I am using for OS and some APPS.)

The 4xSSD on the Hyper card seem to be running fine. But not sure if I am missing anything in the BIOS, since the system does not see the 1TB drive on the DIMM.2. (The Bios doesn't see it, not windows.) I really need to get this working so that I can start installing certain apps, and my games.

Anyone know what/where to look in BIOS. I set under CPU storage to read U2 and DIMM.2, but that does not seem to have done anything.

EDIT: I flashed the new bios and have messed with everything I an think of, but nothing so far has worked to get my Samsung Pro on the DIMM.2 card to work . . . I'm going to take it our and re-seat it and see if that makes any difference. Currently it is set to CPU in BIOS and disabled the VROC under CPU storage, as I am not doing VROC.

EDIT 2: Re-seating it did not work. Did you guys need to do anything in BIOS to make the DIMM/2 slot work? If it matters, my ssd is in M.2_1. I am going to try the other side (M.2_2) as any other solution alludes me, even though I SHOULD be able to use M.2_1 by itself, right?

So if only one m.2 is to be added, should I put it on the DIMM.2 or on the motherboard? Is there a difference in performance?

Edit: Just noticed Jobotoo is dealing with this in real time. lol Guess I'll look at what people say about their post.

FYI, I am using one M.2 under the armor, as my boot drive, and it has worked just fine for weeks (since I first put the system together). Some have not used the slot under the armor, just the DIMM.2 slot, which is also fine to do, but I have not had success for some reason.

Now I added the Hyper x16 card with four M.2 drives, and they work great.

I am also trying to add one more M.2 on the DIMM.2 card, with no success so far. I have tried eveything I can think of, and it still is NOT recognized in the BIOS or in Windows.

Was there a permanent fix on the Bluetooth failing and needing a full power cycle (unplug) to get it back online? I'm using Bluetooth keyboard and mouse and it sucks that it happens fairly often. I have to keep another keyboard/mouse plugged in so I can shut it down gracefully to get it back online.

Am I really getting this much droop on VCCIN or is this a garbage reading? It is set to 1.65v in the bios, but this is what I see running RB2.44 - 18cores 4.4GHz 1.18v:

I wouldnt pay too much attentoin to what is read with 3rd party apps at this point. Dont know of any that have updated code and calibration for the new platforms.

Well, at least in relative terms, it means _something_. I found my LLC5 setting had been reverted to "Auto'. Changed it back to LLC5 and I now see 1.584.

So, it may not be 100% accurate, but it was lower than it should have been. I'll have to probe it up in the not too distant future, but as you said, I expect some software growing pains at this point.

Are you changing from AHCI to DIMM.2 CPU? Not sure if that's going to work because one is Legacy and the other is UEFI. Did you also change the Onboard devices configuration for M.2_1 so that it matches the type of drive along with CPU Storage Configuration "PCIEX8_4, DIMM.2, and U.2" setting to "DIMM.2+U2"? You also need to change Boot-->CSM(Compatibility Support Module) --> Boot from storage devices and Boot from PCI-E/PCI expansion devices to "UEFI driver first".

The best thing to do is remove the HyperX 16 card and then get your boot drive to work then add it back in later to prevent confusion.
