Can someone set the mouse to at least 1600dpi, tilt the mouse on its right edge, and see if it moves vertically? Don't try to correct for it, just tell if there's a consistent motion. Me doing it with the kone pure owl eye:

You have a lot of time on your hands, brah.
Anything with a LOD of 0.3+ mm will do that. It's just some physics magic. biggrin.gif

No, it won't. We kind of understand exactly why it happens with some mice and not with others.

Yeah, just got the mouse and tried it. Getting the upward motion and it returns (much like your video) back to the original position once you tilt it back.

Overall, I'm quite pleased with the mouse so far, using the batteries as weighting system is... weird. But I like the weight and balance with a single AA battery in the left slot.

Have to give it some more time to properly judge it but set to same DPI, it feels just as good as my G400.

@CPate Is it normal for the G603's wheel to scroll in one direction just fine, but if I want to scroll the other way, I need two scroll 'clicks' to register in the opposite direction? It's annoying as hell. Maybe a FW update can fix this? Never mind, it was some kind of a bug. After I switched to BT to use it with my phone and switched it back, it was gone. rolleyes.gif

Just a side note... The magnetic top is awesome, but it would be more awesome if we could swap the switches without soldering, just like in the Asus Sica. biggrin.gif

It's my first Logitech pad I've tried (I've tried many many mousepads prior to this one: Razer Gigantus, Coolermaster RX-Swift, Zowie G-SR, Artisan Hayate Otsu, Artisan Shidenkai and many others).

Anyways, my accuracy on this pad has improved greatly and it has become my main pad. I'm surprised this pad (well I suppose it is new) but if it is the same as the smaller G640 pad from Logitech I'm surprised that one is not more popular. It's a really good pad.

So any feedback on how your G840s holding up?

Anyone with experience owning the G640 is welcome to provide feedback on its characteristics and durability. Are they both (G640/G840) uncoated compared to G640 Team Editions? Just wondering how fast will they get dirty/white (like QCK Heavy), how different is vertical/horizontal glide, how hard/uniform is rubber base and if there any problems with the edges of the pads (sharp, fraying).

Thinking about getting different deskmat - the Mionix Alioth XL i've got on sale has different X/Y glide and feels like sandpaper on vertical movement. Not sure i like that giant light grey logo on dark grey surface either.
