IN WIN 301 case owners club

Hello everyone!

I am moving my rig out of the Thremaltake Core V1 and into a white IN WIN 301 case. With its cheaper cost and relative small size, I am taken aback by the fact no one has started an owners club. I plan on building in it this afternoon and should have it up and running by this evening. This case has a relatively diminutive size considering it has a tempered glass side panel and room for an MATX motherboard, and room for plenty of WC options. The current system that will be installed:

ASUS Z170I Pro Gaming
Intel i5 6600K
16GB DDR4 OCZ Trident Z at 3200MHz
525GB Crucial MX300 SSD
Corsair H55 Silent CPU cooler
Corsair RM550 PSU
PowerColor Red Devil RX 480

I was looking to get a slightly larger case as I had to modify the Core V1 to get my card to fit and wanted a white case. My options were limited in that regard and am looking for a fire and ice theme (red and black inside, white and blue exterior). Really was looking for a build I could use that surmised my deck building style back in my MTG days way before multicolored decks were such a thing and I slaughtered folks with my white, blue, red, black deck. (low cost burn counter drain decks are the best!).

So, lets get it started! I will post pictures of my build once completed!

Awesome! I've got the same motherboard and cpu as you inside of a SilverStone RVZ02. Am considering moving it into a 301 for better GPU cooling.

Anyone own this with a mATX motherboard? What's the actual situation with the bottom fan slots and USB headers? Are they usable together?

Has anybody managed to install a 240 rad at the bottom of the case using an m-itx board? smile.gif

How is the exhaust capability of the case with that side mesh?
If I use a 240 AIO set to exhaust, will it be able to put the hot air outside of the case?
Or will the air just be turbulent and cause the case temperature to rise?
That might be a big no no as I also have an open air cooler gpu.

Cheers!

The side mesh is for intake, the case has a 120mm exhaust fan slot on the rear and you can make the bottom you can make it exhaust as well. A single 120 is plenty though for exhaust.

I was thinking about running bottom intakes to feed fresh air to the GPU, front 240mm AIO as exhaust to push hot cpu air outside the case.
I believe that is also the setup In Win recommends.
And there are no dust filter on the side, so use as intake would result in dust buildup on the case and radiator.

No. It's not made for intake.
