Hi all. Waited till September 1st to start a new thread for my build. That's my 1st build in many years, last time I was working on PC probably 10 years ago. Config is not finalized, some changes are possible. This ain't a gaming rig, nor home serve: will be used as workstation/NAS/virtualization server for my needs Currently it named AIO-All-in-one, but I have to come up with a better name. It's now running in older case, but I'm moving it to a new one, once I receive it. I haven't decided about color scheme, so there's more to discuss.
Also, sorry for my English, it ain't perfect.

Parts:
CPU: 2x Intel Xeon E5-2683v3 with Turbo Hack.
MoBo: ASUS Z10PE-D16 WS
RAM: 128GB (8x8Gb) DDR4 ECC 2133
Storage:
-ESXI boot drive: M.2 SSD or Intel 750NVME.
-Win boot drive: Samsung SSD
-VM drive: Fusion-IO drive 2, 1.2tb.
-LSI 3008 SAS/SATA 12G controller.
-6xHDD to store my data
-Extra 2.5" scratch drive.
Videocards. Currently AMD 7750 and R280X. Will replace with something.
Case: Caselabs BH8.
PSU: Corsair HXi850
CPU Coolers: TBD
Fans: TBD
Extras: Lighting system.

Items in bold that I alredy have. Recently released caselabs case is preordered. Have to decide about Storage and Videocards and other misc stuff. And come up with a name for that build.

I've traded that 750 long time ago, and just received M.2 to U.2 cable. Haven't even tested it. I have no need in another SSD: Fusion IO drive is pretty fast and it's 1.2Tb. I might use it in another workstation: I have same board, some E5-v3 laying aroumd, but no memory.

I'm running a cheap (paid $5 or $10) M.2 SSD drive. It only needed to start hypervisor. Only issue that I have is that it's short 2260 M.2 and I have no screw mounting point for 2260. So it's just plugged in, but not secured. I have Fusion-IO for everything else.

I see no reason. Intel 750 seems to be a better choice: bigger, faster and no raid0 for about the same money.

Not too much. I got all the components that I need, except case fans, CPU coolers, lighting system and hard drives.

-I never thought that sourcing case fans would be that hard: I wanna get all PWM fans (need 5 fans: 2x80mm, 1x120mm and 2(or 4)x140mm), preferably from same brand. I'm really surprised that there's few companies that make full PWM lineup of fans. I really wanted to go with Noiseblocker Multiframe, but they don't make em in 140mm.

I might go with Multiframes and NZXT AER140 RGBs on the front panel
-Need to source the SATA Power cables for drives. Want to have exact spacing between 3 data drives. Will probably try to contact someone here on OCN.
-I wanna move system to a new case, and then decide about the drives and CPU coolers, since I have both.

BeQuiet! offers PWM fans in those dimensions. Incredibly quiet fans, and they're attractive. Not the best radiators, but still perfectly adequate.

When you say you want a new case, you mean a different case to the BH8?

New case mean BH8. I got my system up and running in a different case (workstation tower case), which is great and very solid, but a little bit ... ugly. I also want a better cooling. I'm not sure about the noise though, but expect it to be lower too.

I was looking at BeQuiet fans, for some reason those are more expensive than Noiseblocker and Noctua. I'm trying to keep my costs reasonable (yeah, with 128 gigs of memory, haha). Go-to idea is Noctua redux, trying to find a better solution now. Yesterday I thought about going all-in with Commander pro and fans, but it seems like it comes with tons of unnecessary controllers.

Don't have time to work on that build, but recently installed Noiseblocker Multiframes on the back of the case. They don't make em in 140mm size (***?), and some people reported that eloops are noisy for pull. Not sure what would be my front fans. Want something colorful, may be with RGB, or plain while.Candidate #1 - Phanteks PH-F140XP

I read your first post, and skimmed the rest. I'm mainly here to suggest a potential name, based on the current "AIO All-In-One" working title....A replacement name could be "Chimera": a mythical animal equivalent of an all-in-one....

Chimera associates with something ugly for me. I can name it if all the build goes south lol.
But I was thinking about something similar: either Totem (Aka Totem pole with many faces), or go with Greek gods(or other mythology actually), and name Virtual machines accordingly. Alternatively with space objects or geographical names.

Ah, I get what you mean.... Hehehe.... In that case, you could name it "Olympus", which would then associate with the Greek gods...
