I think I found the wall.



DRAM Voltage 1,38 -> 1,4V
I managed to bring those two timings from 6 to 5.
Trying to drop tRFC further down causes instability.

ProODT is very important! to set correctly for your memory and cpu combo for stability.

If you have not been tinkering with it I highly suggest you do! It can be what determines are stable settings or not to tune your timings the tightest they can achieve.

If ProODT is not correct you might not even be able to get close to the higher clocks or best timings your memory is capable off.
I think your settings are still way to relaxed and not tuned tight at all.

I found out the new BIOS likes ProODT to be 80Ohm rather than 68.6Ohm for previous bios for best results for my dual-rank memory.
Single rank memory usually like lower values like 53.3Ohm.

I have an impression that Guild Wars 2 likes faster RAMs though. Need to play for longer, but it's quite apparent. It's a poorly multithreaded (up to 3 cores) CPU bound MMO.

A bit of an old thread, but just to answer , cinabench doesn't see a big improvement from a slight speed change that comes in account for loosening some timings since it doesn't really benefit from an increased infinity fabric speed. See, benchmarks that stress all threads massively, eliminate threads hopping from one ccx to another, so the thread don't need a fast infi city fabric as it doesn't bounce and loses it's cache. With games, threads bounce often as its usually lightly threaded (this is how it is in win 10), and that's why , when the IF works faster , decreasing the latency of the threads moving data from one cache to another with a faster ram MHz wise sees a big Improvement. Since you only upped the memory speed slightly , and some righter timings got looser, it kind of balances and the heavy threaded work, which isn't depended on the IF speed as much, sees a small gain.
