[Apple] iPhone X Reveal - Page 38

i dont get people these days. If I had the cash I would rather spend that kind of money on PC hardware but people are so easily ready to jump on a phone over 1K. Its just a phone. I really dont get it.

Phone is everything in my life. The better the phone the easier it is for me to leave the office. With a better phone I can get away from my PC and go do other things. Of course, it also means people expect more, but that's been the case for a long time.

I use my phone at least as much as I use my PC. And I already have my PC set up, I'm not looking to upgrade for a while. I've had my current phone for four years though, so it seems reasonable to upgrade.

It's also not one or the other for me.

True but I see his point. A 200$ or 300$ still does what its designed for. Or if your me a 100$ 5s I got on eBay.

I don't really know what ground breaking feature the new iPhone has to be worth 1000$. At least a PC has a GPU and CPU to worry about. Any modern smartphone is fast these days, and smartphone tasks aren't that intensive. For 3d games and apps MAYBE I can understand, but spending a 1000$ for a phone for GPU gaming performance is laughable.

I guess to most people a fancy phone is worth more to them than a nice PC. To me a phone is email, text and audio calls. PC is for fun.

Most people don't even own a PC anymore, they do everything on a tablet or phone...... The PC desktop is a niche market now.

Not laughing here. Gaming is one of the big things that I do on my phone.

To each is own I guess. To me the controls on phone games are awful and they are almost all covered in micro transactions.

tbh i have a custom watercooled i7 gaming pc with 1080ti and i'm very interested in the X phone. PC hardware gets boring when you get to the "end game" of it. Sure, I could go X99 or 399 but to me it's just more wasteful than getting an iphone X

iphone x is just a copy cat of a lot of android technology, nothing new at all.

Apple steals some features from Android, Google steals some from Apple. Its a cycle. Ehhh.
