Just wanted to make a list of mouse pads that are flat out of box (ex: require no textbooks or other methods to flatten) - sometimes your mouse pad may not be flat when majority of them are - but if you RMA and the next one was flat then include it here. No hard pads/plastic pads as those are generally always flat - just because a pad isn't on this list doesn't mean it's not flat out of box.

also,
I don't know if it's consistent but at least the Glorious 2mm XL has been very flat out of the box for me and 2 friends of mine.
can't really find anything searching for it briefly though.
I believe when they changed the logo they may have made some changes (They use to have the big glorious guy, now it's a tiny white glorious guy which is the newer model)
Razer Gigantus (Regular stitched) - Not flat
Razer Goliathus Speed/Control Alpha - Flat
Zowie G-SR SE Blue - Not flat
Glorious XXL - Flat
Aqua Control+ - Not flat, nice large crease down the middle
Allsop Raindrop XL - Flat
QCK Heavy - Not flat
Zowie G-SR Black - Not flat
Zowie G-TF Speed - Not flat
Some of the not flat ones could be counter rolled or slightly bent to help flatten out.
Just bought the same G640 a week ago. The pad was like 95% flat out of the box for me. Just used my hands to flat out the edges. For me, this was the quickest a pad has ever went flat.
Also add DG (Dark Gray) version to Zowie GS-R (Original Dark Blue). Also discontinued and on my desk right now.
Shame on the new black G-SR being stitched.
I'm sure we'll find that those pads with edged stitching are going to be the most problematic and most unreliable pads to lay flat right out of box. Yet there is some sort of confusion in the market that people want 'sturdy' mouse pads and stitching keeps edges from fraying. Yet how fun is a bumpy pad that doesn't lay flat? Also edged stitching seems to lose grip of the desk top where it makes contact along the edges and some of those stitched pads have a tendency to move on you with vigorous movements gaming.
I hate going through a flattening ritual that can take a couple weeks before it relaxes flat and can actually use it.
Flat mouse pads for me right out of the box Artisan Otsu and Hein. Puretrack Talent (all black), both already on list.
I've tried a new version of Taito as well but it was perfectly fine out of the box. I guess it varies.
