I was due for an upgrade at work for my PC, was given a budget of $1k and went with a laptop - I can take this home every night and do whatever I want with it as long as I have it in the office the next morning to use for work (I work for a very small company that I have been with for over 10 years, boss is more like family at this point so when it comes to things like this it's pretty lax).

You can see my PC specs below - getting a bit dated but still solid.

Laptop has the following specs...

i7 6700HQ
16GB DDR4
GTX 970M 6GB
256 M.2 PCIe SSD

Games I play on the PC (as I also have a PS4 & Xbox) - FFXIV, Civ V, Overwatch, SWTOR, GW2

I'd keep my monitor and keyboard/mouse/game pad to use.

So my question is, will my laptop be able to handle the kind of games I play or should I just stick with my rig? As you can see from my game list that I like the MMORPGs and anything new I'd probably pick up to get as well. This laptop is the 2016 Razer Blade so there is always the option of picking up The Core in the future.
