As long as SLI is working on your system with a normal screen through the same port, yes.

Display port or anything based on the DP protocol (USB, Thunderbolt, etc.) does support chaining of multiple displays. In this case the GPU can logically see the different screens as independent devices. For VR though it doesn't make much of a difference since you're limited by the same bandwidth anyway. Using two DP for one device on the other hand does help.
