So i have narrowed my list down to between a xspc photon 270 or the ek xres 140..

I really like the build quality of the ek but call me a noob but the fancyness of the xspc.. anyone who owns either would love to hear your opinion[IMG]

It's the same pump essentially so it really comes down to a visual preference. I'd go with the xspc for speed control knob vs pwm.

I've owned both. Your assumption of build quality is completely backwards - the XSPC is a much nicer piece with higher quality materials. In person the difference is striking. The EK looks like something that got pulled out of a Crackerjack box when they are side by side.

Yea I second this as well lol. The build quality of xspc is much nicer across the board.

Check out Singularity Computers res's. Yes they end up costing more but modular and looks pretty good imho.
