AMD just does not have the muster to appeal to someone like me who only games. I wish they did, I loved AMD as a kid... but yeah its just sad.
Really? It reduces Ryzen to 10% of its performance? Vega fails because it can't undercut the 1080, not because it doesn't beat the 1080 Ti. It's not even a part of the conversation when it comes to the 1080 Ti. AMD has nothing for that.
As to using a PC as a console, yeah, the 7700k stands alone. That's just a fact. Mixed-use scenarios are not at all uncommon, though, and Ryzen offers plenty in gaming without handicapping me in anything else. I'll live without the extra 10 or 20 FPS whilst signifcantly reducing my take-home workload completion times and allowing me to complete lighter workloads during gameplay.
