Raid0 write performance decreasing during large file transfers?

Is anybody else experiencing this issue running raid0? I have 2x wd blacks 6tb in raid0. At first my write speed is 400mbs/second, which is great, but then after about 150gbs are written, the performance drops down to 175mbs per second. Are the drives overheating or something?

Well, while the controllers could overheat (and you can monitor temps with smart data), I think what you are seeing is the difference between their cached speed vs their real sustained write speed. HDD's tend to be slow, but mitigate that with cache memory built in, and also windows will do some write caching, but once that fills up, you'll be limited to the speed it can actually write data to the disk. And 175MB/s means the drive is no slouch, that's pretty quick for an HDD. I think the 400MB/s you see is just the cache memory filling up initially, which will be far faster than writing to the platter.

but 175mbs per second is what I am getting with 1 wd black in ahci mode.

my read performance is sustained around 350-400, my write is 175 and there's definitely something wrong.

I tried reinstalling amd raid drivers and now its saying failed to install due to registry errors.... Maybe I need a fresh w10 install

Okay, I've tried reinstalling windows now like 3 times, with a fresh install of amd's chipset drivers. Everytime I try to run crystaldisk i get good read speeds but TERRIBLE write speeds with latency going up to 15000ms+.

Please if anybody can help me figure out what in the world is going on.....
