I've tried fresh reinstalling windows like 3 times now, everytime I run crystaldisk mark I get rediculously low write speeds, with latency going up to 15000ms+
Please help me figure out what is going on. This happens with write through or delayed write cache scheme setup in the raid bios.
Maybe its a driver thing? I would look to see if there are some kind of drivers available for your motherboard. Unfortunately I am not familiar with AMD based systems.
Did you go to the website for who made your motherboard and get the latest chipset and raid drivers, and install em? Or are you just configuring it and installing windows and then testing without loading drivers? Because you most likely need to actually load drivers to get the most out of it.
i used the drivers found on amd's site for threadrippsr x399 chipset.
I have found that even though benchmark write speed is quite slow, in practice- i get write speeds around 300-400mbs while doing file transferring. so maybe its something up with the benchmark software?

Quite possibly the benchmark software just hasn't updated. You could try hdtune (free trial) but it can't run a write test benchmark unless the array is free of any partitions, which isn't possible if your OS is installed and running on the drives in question. That's about the only thing I can think of that does write testing. AIDA64 does as well but also, only if array is cleared of data first.
