Wifi adapter breaks occasionally and can only be fixed by restarting my PC

Have a weird error where my Wifi adapter will just turn off at random points. It seems to be more stable when the charger is in, but I have ensured that in Device Manager the laptop isn't allowed to turn off the adapter.

I ran "ipconfig /all < myTcp.txt" when it turned off, and this was the output:

Also check and make sure that in -Control Panel >Power Options >Edit Plan Settings >click Advanced and then under "Wireless Adapter Settings" > Power Saving Mode set to Maximum Performance. Might help?

Just did that, I'll let you know if it makes a difference!

If that doesn't do it I would try reinstalling the newest driver then make sure to re-set the two power saving settings tried previously

Doesn't work, and updating/reinstalling doesn't help either. Any other ideas?

Stab in the dark, reset ip stack. CMD - netsh int ip reset

If you want a log it's netsh int ip reset reset.txt

Reboot. Log saves to root.

Unfortunately, problem could be any number of things. The adapter itself could be starting to fail, in which case it would need to physically be replaced.

A couple of other things to try first:

-Make sure Windows is fully updated, check and run all updates. And then search for new updates again just to be sure.
-Run a Full system scan with Windows Defender
-Install Malwarebytes, update and run a Full system scan
-Install Superantispyware, update definitions and then run a Full system scan

Will do this when I get back to college.

Could be a failing adapter, there is a decent chance of it being that. Don't think it's malware, I'll give it a few scans however. I'll update you all Sunday night and once I've done the things you suggested.

Have you tried enabling the adapter in network settings? or in device manager?
