Samsung 960 Evo M.2 Mini ITX

Thread Starter
Im looking into getting a Samsung 960 Evo 500GB and using it with the ASROck Z370 itx gaming coming soon.

Do i have to worry about the heat if its behind the motherboard?

This will be a OS Drive only. Games will be on either another SSD or HDD.

As far as I know, m.2 nvme drives only get hot when doing large or continuous data transfers. For most people, that isn't often. I don't think the mobo engineers would have put the port on the back if it was going to be an issue anyways.
