If you want it to look amazing it's going to require some work. It's a clean case but the outside is a lot cleaner than the inside. Get some acrylic and some tools and get busy. My only gripe with the v3000 is the lack of a 480 on top. I feel this is an oversight.

Dude thanks for responding that primo case of yours is sick. I saw that on PC Part picker a week or two ago and gave it a thumbs up smile.gif
Your right about the sma8's looking the same every double res build looks the same, but i have something special in mind, a few ideas im thinking of, i just need a clean mobo tray all the way across. If the V3000 can support it i will prob get it, and i have no problem working with acryllic. I made custom backplates with acryllic in the past but i used a acryllic knife, and it was super hard, so i asked my dad to get me a jigsaw for christmas and my sister to get me a dremmel. So im ok with that. The 900d is cool, but has too many complaints online, and i have to drill out riveted drive bays which sucks. Im so bummed you cant do a 480 rad on top, but will a 360 rad work? I guess i can google the specs. I have a spare EK 360 PE slim i could use i suppose. But yea, the V3000 looks way better to me that the Thermaltake case.

(I would have killed for that amazon deal, ughhhhh, i just checked on they are def sold out). Thanks again though

Largest you can fit on top is a 420. I mean when it comes down to it that little extra bit of rad space isn't going to make a huge difference but I love my 480 gts and I would love to use both lol. Not sure what Imma do with the v3000. I am still trying to get a freaking rampage vi board lol. The 900D is rather outdated at this point and I really think they are going to move forward with that Slate case if you want something bigger.

I would KILL for the new sma8 rev A, but who has $800 to drop on just a case. Thats crazy expensive. I can justify a $400 case even though its super expensive too. So if my choices are v3000 or TT wp100 which is the sma8 "ripoff", i dont know which to get. It bugs me there are no v3000's on sale ANYWHERE, untill around christmas time. I heard the TT wp100 has mounting issues, but the v3000 isnt quite as big as the rest are. Sooo i have no clue what to get. I just want someone to tell me which is the best one for someone trying to do a double reservoir on a clean mobo panel type look, with a Big ass rad at the bottom. Ughhhh hard choices.

Hey op, you happy with your V3000? Any complaints? Your the only one who posted a build log that i could find.

I considered the WP100 briefly a while back, but decided I really wanted something lighter. I also really liked the idea of a basement chamber, but didn't want the extra pedestal to do it. Beyond that, it came down to a lot of the same reasons I didn't go with the Primo or Case labs. I wanted something as future-proof as possible if I was going to spend a lot of money on a case. The USB-C and front HDMI options pushed that for me.

My only real complaint with the V3000 is the lack of dust filters on the side and front. The front is easily remedied with Silverstone Fan Filters. Honestly, the side can be the same way except that It was gonna block some of my fan lighting. I agree, it would've been nice to have a 480 rad option up top, but it would interfere with the front I/O panel as well as the the snap rivets that allow you to remove the top panel.

Greetings from China!

Really nice build!

May I have several questions cuz I am super interested in this case.

1. How is the build quaility? I am asking because someone says that the tempered glass is hard to fit in. Also, the front panel is really soft.

2. The front panel is solid with very slim vents. So how is the air flow? I believe it might be ok if there is no radiator mounted behind the front panel but I am curious what would happen if I mount one right there.

3. Can the RGB connected to the motherboard to sync the light? I dont think so honestly.

Thanks in advance!

1. Build quality is great. I've had no problem fitting the tempered glass. The front panel is all aluminum. It's a very sturdy, yet lightweight case.

2. No airflow issues. Since the fans mount to the inside of the case,There's at least an inch of gap providing plenty of airflow.

3. I assume you mean the front panel RGB strip. Out of the box, this will not sync to the motherboard as it has it's own controller, however this LED strip can be swapped out easily for one that is compatible with motherboards.

awesome bulid man. been looking into this case for a bit I have a 900d right now with 480 rad on top and bottom. LIan li website states that you could have a 480(bottom), 360 (front) and 420 (top) total of rad space. Do you think all those could fit straight out of the box?
Thanks a lot for your reply!

I really hope to get one but I still cannot refuse the new white SMA8A with the new tempered glass. Also it can mount tow radiators in the bottom cage.

Maybe I can mod the pc-v3000 to accomodate two radiators and the PSU. The mounting bay in the middle bugs me a little tbh.

Any, thanks! Merry Christmas!

Yes, it will fit all of those out of the box without modding required.

Hi all, I decided on this over the SMA8, even with the new revision A, the SMA8 charges extra for a Type C up front, an extra $30 if im not mistaken, bringing the total up to almost $700. So I went with the V3000 per the Op's recomendation. It arrived yesterday, and let me tell you, I could not be happier, it is beyond my expectations. It is a work of art, and the quality is excellent. The only thing im changing on it, is removing the drive bays, and putting a flat acrylic sheet instead, total cost, $490 to get the same look as the SMa8, with a $30 piece of acrylic.
Compared to SMA8 & 900D
Pros: Beautiful finish
Cheaper (which is huge to me, cause i can spend that $300 elsewhere)
Love the LED inset
Modern front panel connections (especially compared to 900D)
Larger tempered glass viewing window than sma8 (And sma8 charges extra for tempered glass)
Cons:
No removable mobo tray
No smooth mobo panel
No room for a 480 on top, only 360 i have been told

So all in all i wouldn't trade it for anything, I LOVE it. You wont be disappointed. I might start a build log soon, but i dont have my processor yet or RAM, and im waiting on acrylic panels still. I bought 2mm thick from Home Depot, but i want 3mm or 4mm thick. I just got a dremel moto-saw for christmas (for acrylic cutting), and a dremel 3000 for under $200, so im good to start!
