The 1080p and 1440p benchmarks are pointless. All the high-end card got over 100fps. Enjoy your extra fps on vega when the game is already over 100fps on GTX 1080

Also, Forza 7 is just one game
You want better minimums are averages? I'd prefer better minimums.

This may not be your cup of tea if you don't like racing games or hate windows store or UWP only games (which this is), but this is absolutely a big important PC game.
Indeed, it's just not for me.

“The ranking in Forza 7 is very unusual. Nvidia has confirmed ComputerBase, however, that the results are so correct, so there is no problem with the system in the editorial regarding GeForce.”

No telling what effect stacking draw stream binning and rpm would have on the GPU side. Optimistic for Vega's future.

Funny, when AMD is winning, suddenly smooth frametimes and framerates above 60 do not matter.

Yup. Either that or they are running tons MSAA at 4k, I am maxing this game out at 4k w/ no MSAA and a 290x at 1100/1500 (50mhz over a 390x) - seeing well above those Fury X 4k numbers.

I might care when the fine wine applies to more titles that I'd actually play.

I so want to disagree with this comment, but it's absolutely true. It's just... racing games are cool, sure, but... it's a specific crowd that they apply to and one that isn't very big at all.

When this applies to the next super huge AAA title or next best Indie game of the year, I'll be impressed. So far, though, AMD's reliance on a new API to promote their offerings are quickly looking more and more like the older HD5000 series way back when. It was like: "Great! I can play DX11! Would be nice if anyone cared about that ONE game..."

#Edit

I really REALLY want AMD to kick Nvidia's butt too. Competition drives innovation. AMD already proved that in the past... but c'mon AMD... turn a page. rolleyes.gif

Wow. It's like gaming is new to you. The racing genre is not small and there is a reason this is the 7th iteration.

yep and even then we will not be able to buy them. cause retailers will inflate the prices to profit from miners. sucks. shame we can't buy direct from AMD in taiwan, and be like yo, i just want 1, i will send you video of my steam library (800 games) to prove im a gamer not a miner...

lol meh i can dream.

Typical knee jerk reaction to shock and awe. Funny though, this is a Triple A Title game coming to PC.
It's getting very old calling games trivial when AMD wins at them. It's very tripe.
Lets be honest.. No one, at any foreseen time thought that a RX64 would beat a 1080 TI in anything.
Now that we have "anything" the shock and awe is still setting in.
To be honest, I still can't believe it myself. It must be fake right? tongue.gif

Pretty interesting results. They all pretty much represents strength and weakness of each architecture. AMD's DX12 implementation shines in CPU bound scenarios while at higher resolutions like at 4k where CPU limit no longer applies, we are back to the results we usually saw from other games.

Yeah, it's pretty funny. Honestly, I don't really care who wins when it comes to which company, I'll always buy whatever I think is the best for the money I am willing to spend. But the sheer hypocrisy I see from people is absurd. Oh AMD is winning? Let's talk down the game that it's winning at it. Seriously, before this, every single one of you would argue that the RX64 would never win in anything.
