I'm at 1080 performance in most games. It will last me till Volta x80 hits next year no problem. Only 1080 Ti is a worthy upgrade, but I can wait.

You seem to forget that 980 Ti custom cards are WAY faster than 980 Ti reference. Around 20% out of the box. Where 1070 custom are not much faster than 1070 Founders Edition. 5% on avg. Nvidia pretty much maxed the chip. This is why 980 Ti custom beats 1070 custom.

Take a look at Fury X and see how that hold up smile.gif 9 fps avg. in 2160p and 7 fps min. So much for a "4K Card".. So glad I got the 980 Ti back then. Fury X has been aging like milk.

Personally I couldn't care less about Nvidia's performance in Microsoft Store / Play Anywhere titles. I won't touch that store. Overpriced and overhyped games with garbage optimization. Forza 7 is peaking 1 core. Worst I've ever seen. ReCore was a total failure, it got terrible reviews.

I totally agree with this thumb.gif

I doubt AMD will let RTG go, considering all their tech they use for their APUs. Without RTG their APUs are as good as dead.

If you own a 1080 Ti, you own the best gaming card going. There is no need to get insecure over a single game that you're not even going to play.

One. Game.

Jesus.

Sounds like a tech hair salon in here lol

No, they wouldn't. Barely anyone is interested in GPUs right now much less large dedicated GPUs, much less buying RTG who has very little marketshare in any of the markets dGPUs are sold to.

Vega 64 AIO is a fully clocked Vega 64 while 1080 FE is the slowest 1080. It was probably throttling like a dog.

Here it is again, RX series on top in PUBG...

But, this is at 1080p. This is starting to look like teething issues with optimizing profiles in the drivers.
Very similar results to Forza 7 benchmark.
