yeah thats basically how i sum up my first impressions... wonderful with a side of bad cable and ****ty mouse feet. i might go the route of getting some corepad uni skatez and cutting them out for this mouse specifically (idk if it will make a difference, but im too impatient to wait for hyperglides in the mail when i can get uni corepad skatez in like a week or two... Canadian customs is god awful so if things are sent budget mail from asia they can take up to 60 days to get here.. and i assume thats what hyperglide ships with

also, anyone bother using the 1000hz unlock tool yet? id try it out on 1000hz (what ive been used to for a long time) but i dont know if id even like it more than on 500hz like it is default...so im concerned once i unlock it theres no going back

would be nice if a finalmouse rep could answer some questions on the unlock tool or atleast include some instructions with it tongue.gif

updated mine, feels okay but doesn't seem to be a way to revert to 500hz......I emailed and PMed waiting for a response.

my classic ergo 2016 died today after just 4 months of use, and i tried more than 15 shape and i think the classic ergo is the best mouse i have used, when i first tried it, i was like there is no way i will think about switching to another mouse

but the doesn't mean the classic ergo was perfect ( the side buttons were unusable for me, the material they used feels cheap and cable is really annoying )

which mean the mouse doesn't worth 69$, yeah its my favorite mouse but i still think its too much, and for someone like me who doesn't live in the U.S i still have to pay at least 20$ to ship it to my country, so i'm gonna pay 89$ for it and you guys know what you can get with 89$, also its gonna be a gamble, maybe i'm not gonna get a good copy? for how long the mouse gonna last? can i return it? how long that gonna take? alot of questions

but don't even try to answer these questions, because i won't risk it,

sorry finalmouse but just lost one customer

( honest feedback )

Also updated mine, so far everything seems good @1khz but i don't see an option to revert back, i asked the same question but got no answer ITT.

@HorseyYou absolutely need to get rid of that horrible cable and buy a paracord if you want to truly enjoy your mouse, it's night and day difference especially on lighter mice imo, cable is unusable for me even with a mouse bungie. If you want a braided cable finalmouse take a loot at DAE to see how it's done properly.

I agree that shape is good but nothing spectacular to deal with QA issues in every release honestly, i bought 4 mice from this company (1x classic ergo, 2x scream1, 1x classic ergo 2) and guess what same QA problems. I like their shapes, sensor and simplicity but i don't think they can fix their quality. Lot's of people complained about the cable and side buttons, even early testers i presume and their response was pretty much "that's what we use, deal with it", buttons feel inconsistent? "that's omron variance, also deal with it" Skates are not aligned properly? a problem that plagued the first edition as well "ok we'll fix that it in the next revision, too bad you bought yours early, try to trim it or fix it yourself"

The way they answer sometimes makes me wonder if they think we are some kind of elitists that tend to exaggerate every minor issue and they had enough of our criticism which is not true.

An honest customer that will probably buy your next "final" mouse anyway. rolleyes.gif

Has anybody done a teardown of the mouse? I have the old Ergo and I sanded off the "ledge" that is on the right side, since I hated it so much. Wanted to know if I would be able to change out the shells.

EDIT: I mine yesterday and was able to switch out the shells. Feels so much better without the ledge.

I forget where I read this but someone else contacted support and there is no option to revert.

The mouse feet on this mouse are so bad. They didn't fit at all and had to remove them. Replaced them with some spare G Pro feet that I had. Slightly better but not great.

I finally got my hands on this (over a month in waiting I believe) and you guys are right, the feet are absolute trash.

This is the last FM I try though. You guys have great shapes and specs but the whole package is severely lacking. Not trying another one till OCN is majorly positive on your future mice.
