Hi. I wanted to introduce myself. I have a new rig and wanted to be a part of a group who can relate to what I have. Until I show it in my siggy it is a custom-built AMD TR 1950X, NVIDIA 1080ti, 32GB RAM system.

Cheers!

Thanks for the reply and acknowledgement!

I had the rig made by one of AMD's approved custom vendors as I have been out of the building phase for well over 20 yrs. The build quality is 100% and I have no complaints at all but the RAM was the only disappointment in the package. I had complained to various staff (and the owner) as well as AMD's PR rep about the situation. They tried to appease me but I realized this is the life now in the fast lane.

Basically, the Vendor was suppose to put 3000Mhz RAM installed but put 2133Mhz RAM instead (non-OC'ed). I was rather disappointed at first and then started to feel like there was deception involved. They said the RAM was expected to be overclocked to get to the 3000Mhz speed through the BIOS XMP 2.0 Profile. I was not happy but the RAM does have a 3000 value [a part of the item number] on the sticker (but it doesn't state anywhere that it is indeed 3000Mhz if that means anything...rather deceptive) it and the mfg memory site does say it is meant to be overclocked. But the BIOS clearly shows 2133Mhz. So I guess this was my technical failure to understand today's methodology for purchasing hardware. I probably would have had other issues buying hardware too so still very happy I went down this road of having someone else build the rig. It has braided colored wire covers and looks awesome (no lightening other than the GPU and low-energy LED lightening that comes with the unit eg ASROCK's x399 lighting schema stuff). And I really don't know how the vendor made much money on it. The margins are really thin from my cost eval.
