oh yeah i should get OT.

personally i don't care since using the account for far less than a primary purpose but, i guess some folks do have info in their accounts they would prefer to be private. yeah i know, but not everyone has online common sense.

they should have been told sooner.
It was around 98 for me too. Got it the same time as my NetZero account. Only difference is....

How do you know that it hasn't happened yet to gmail or youtube? It's probably hasn't been reported yet because doing so would be a PR disaster and google's SP would nose dive. Problem with using free services is that we all compromise our privacy.

You can be almost certain that a wave of attacks happened to a certain service when they offer/nag you about a new way of security (phone code, mobile app, etc) Blizzard, gmail or microsoft doesn't matter.

PS: Also including "ensuring your phone or second email adress 10th time" "is this still your phone/email"

Then Apple has been breached. I had to change and confirm my info all most a dozen times within a 2 week period a few months back. And no, that number is not an exaggeration. My phone still says I need to reenter my information in settings every other day and every time it turns off and back on.

We can't be certain of those attacks breaching anything, can we biggrin.gif I just pointed out them "receiving attacks". Confirming info severals times ? That sounds terrible. Could it be a software bug ?

The whole two step authentication thing is just to keep your colleagues/siblings and family members and generally idiots who try to guess your password away from gmail account. Gmail's security is quite rubbish to say the least. Yeah, your connection maybe secure but the content on gmail is posted as plain text. Anyway, hackers will get what they want if they really want it. To them, the whole thing is a walk in the park.

I want ALL email clients to impose bank style encryption for emails.
