Overclocking issues with AMD Phenom 2 1050T and Asus M477T

Thread Starter
Hello guys and thank you in advance for helping.

So i have a Problem overclocking my Hardware. I watched several Videos and read in many Forums.

I think i know how to handle my BIOS and the Major steps how to overclock (i guess).

I did some tryouts gettin no acceptable results and i think time has come to create my own thread !

First of all my specs in Detail :

2 x DDR3 G.Skill 4GB 666Mhz + 2 x DDR3 Kingston 2GB 666Mhz

Asus M4a77t with newest BIOS v.

AMD Phenom 2 x6 1050T

...more Details in my attached Image.

What i've tried so far :

Ratio 14, AMD Turbo Core disabled, cool&quite disabled, CPU frequency 230 and higher ( 3,22ghz all cores), pcie frequency 100, lowered my dram frequency by deviding so it is under 1333 or equal, dram voltage 1.5, set vcore to 1,42 (tried nearly up to 1,5)

what i am not sure about and did not Change:

PCIE frequency, cpu/nb frequency, ht link Speed, dram Timings, VDDNB Over Volate, LoadLine Calibration

my Problems / questions:

so with my Settings i was only able to get a little bit over 3,2 ghz on all 6 cores which is nearly stock clock in turbocore mode (4 cores with 16 Ratio). any higher and my windows 10 wont boot proper and give me diffrent Errors like f.e. ntfs error or something. People seem to get very easy up to 3,5 ghz so i wonder what i am missing in my Settings. I also tried overclocking with vcore on auto mode and was able to get into windows with 3,4 ghz i think. CPU-Z was telling me vcores up to 1,56 sometimes even 1,6 for short Moment. so i wonder if my boot failures come from too low voltages. i am sure not happy with Auto voltage on and did not try anything further in this direction. i also tried overvlocking in Windows with amd overdrive, even an Auto run i tried - not realy successful.

If you look in the Hardware Details to my RAM you will see i have 2 diffrent kinds. the Kingston ram says 666mhz and 1,650 V at Latency of 7. on the other side 666mhz 1.5v at latency 9. so i wonder if there is some Problem regarding i only set dram 1.5 v and did not touch any Timings.

So again thanks for caring and sorry for some weird english biggrin.gif - cheers for helping

best regards phil

Most likely your RAM, being two different kits, is not happy with overclocking. I would uninstall the Kingston for now, and be sure you manually lock down all of your timings before you start, even the obscure tertiary ones.
