Aftermarket aircoolers for GPU? ( Prolimatech MK-26 vs Rajintech morpheus II )

Has anyone compared these two ? Price is about the same, I am not interested in CLC solutions since pump noise is not what I`m lookin for.
Plannin to put it on ref 1080ti and whatever card comes next. So wich one of these two offers better cooling and ease of use/compatibility with more cards ?
Size is not an issue for me, and as I understand only mk-26 supports 140 fans, morpheus is for 120 I belive.

Another plus for the accelero is the fact that it's half the price of either of the options I was considering, and I could use it on other gpu-s aswell, I would not bother cooling the vrm or ram with heatsinks since direct airflow should be more than enough for them. But I am concerned about the small fans being too noisy. (accelero IV)

Morpheus is about same as MK-26. Morpheus II is probably a little better. Alpenfohn Peter and Peter II / Deepcool Dracula is also good. I prefer these bigger size using 25x120mm fans over Accellero series smaller and thinner fans. 25x125mm move more air with lower noise .. but they do require more open area between PCIE components to get enough airflow to fans.

Hi there

I have used Raijintek Morpheus II cooler on my Titan X SC with 1469MHz OC and this cooler has been able cool my Titan X SC easily with temperatures in low 40's to 50's as max in hotter ambient temperatures

But as above @doyll said you really want to have good airflow in the case for such cooler and mainly there you want to use good fans

Hope this helps

Thanks, Jura

The difference is compatibility in terms of interference with VRMs and other components. Morpheus won't fit many cards that have VRM on the output side.
There are tests, reviews, comparison on the web for performance numbers and it all comes down to who install it and how with what fans, otherwise most of these have enough pipes and area.

Hi there

I tried only Raijintek Morpheus II cooler on my Titan X SC and there this cooler performed pretty well, lot better than Hybrid cooler from EVGA or stock cooler

Can't comment on other cards or AMD cards if this cooler will fit or not there

Hope this helps

Thanks, Jura

Haven't had experience with either of the coolers in the OP but I did used to run an Arctic Accelero Twin Turbo on my old Fermi card and it kept it nice and cool with the fans cranked up, and nice and quiet with them down.

I've also been using Arctic for my CPU coolers for a while now and I'm really pleased with them.

On my 290x I was getting high 60s/low 70s, meanwhile accelero-xtreme was getting 15c+ lower, and I heard the fans on that thing are very quiet even on 12v.
I've had both Xtreme 3 and MK-26 on my RX 480, and while it's a terribly unscientific comparison between 3x92mm fans and 2x140mm fans tuned to "well, I guess I can't hear them" levels of noise, I've found out that both heatsinks offered performance within margin of error of each other. Maybe my RX 480 isn't putting out enough heat for it to make a difference.

Used to run a Artic HD7950/7970 block. Single card was stable at around 1200MHz at 54c max mining..

They aren't the best in terms of quality, and the VRM's suffered.

Either way, make sure you either get some heatsinks for the VRM's and vRAM and you'll be set.
