Pinnacle Ridge in about 6 months a minor revision of Ryzen and then in 3rd to 4th quarter of 2018 Zen2 will be released on 7nm process. That will be a major upgrade with major performance and power saving improvements. After Zen2 the socket will be changed with whatever cpu AMD develops.
If Zen 2 hits late 2018 (which isn't certain at all), high-end models get launched first, and then you get the lower models and APUs during 2019 most likely, so "until 2020" seems factually correct.
Idk but i think it is funny that AMD is capitalizing on the fact that there are no 8th generation intel cpus instock and raised the prices of Ryzen again. Everyone was saying they should lower prices to compete, but looks like they went the opposite way. Go amd
Kill them with fire AMD!!!! I will never, ever buy an Intel product again. I dont like to be treated like sheap.
