[JokerProductions] Massive Framerate Boost for RX Vega56 with FCU (Fall Creator's Updated) - Page 15

Whether or not I'm credible is completely up to everyone to decide on their own. All I know is that none of that matters to me. I tested Forza 7 before the update, and after the update, and I saw improvements. And that's using the exact same methodology and settings. In my own experience it has improved, and I don't really care why that is. It just is.

The issue with your result was that your scores were low even after the nVidia optimized Forza 7 drivers. After you upgraded your results were "normal" meaning something was wrong with your 1703 install. The 1709 update resolved the issue.

Really? Link me to the site that used my exact settings and methodology please. I'd like to see how low my results were for my exact system.

I think there is more to this... Has anybody who got improvements in games and scores ever tried the following on the previous update?

Disabled fullscreen optimization on games
Used high performance windows plan on purpose and made sure on update it was re-applied since windows can change power plan settings on update
Forced games' font scaling management to be handled by the game and not by windows

And if not, the people who got no improvement, did you do any of the above?

If people who got no improvement did the above and people who got improvements did none of the above, it could simply mean that there is in fact no change and those new "improvements" are simply auto-applied to each game with Creator's Update 2? Because the only way some people got improvements and many others did not is when the differences lie elsewhere. Either bad or cluttered windows installs (W10 breaks frequently, I've had fresh installs have broken features, and had support remote-in to my computer and tell me, flatly, they don't know why it's broken and it should be working), or there were optimizations windows-side that were performed for some and not for others and the default settings changed.

What else? Pagefile setting? People who have worse RAM are getting improvements and people with better RAM are not feeling the benefits? Very good RAM can help a CPU perform better and in rare cases help a GPU out in games too; there needs to be more information than "32GB RAM 1080Ti i7-4790K I got performance bumps", since nobody seems to be able to find the bigger differences.

It works on other games like BF1 as well, and it's also possible on W10 Anniversary (though the menu is different).

Don't care about the vega gains, but this update actually fixed my automatic update issue, I've been having since last windows install. Thanks Microsoft! biggrin.gif

nVidia cards gained a decent improvement with the release of the last drivers. Multiple users reported high gains except your system until you updated to the fall creators update. Multiple users including myself haven't seen any changes in becnhmarks since upgrading.

Our driver team spends a considerable amount of time developing optimizations and improvements for the latest games before they're launched, ensuring you have a great experience the second they're available. The work doesn't end at launch, however, as our team continually searches for further improvements in game code and our drivers, collaborating with developers whenever possible.
The fruits of this labor can be seen today in our new Game Ready driver, which introduces performance improvements of between 15-25%, depending on your system configuration, in the recently-released Forza Motorsport 7.
