I think there is more to this... Has anybody who got improvements in games and scores ever tried the following on the previous update?
Disabled fullscreen optimization on games
Used high performance windows plan on purpose and made sure on update it was re-applied since windows can change power plan settings on update
Forced games' font scaling management to be handled by the game and not by windows
And if not, the people who got no improvement, did you do any of the above?
If people who got no improvement did the above and people who got improvements did none of the above, it could simply mean that there is in fact no change and those new "improvements" are simply auto-applied to each game with Creator's Update 2? Because the only way some people got improvements and many others did not is when the differences lie elsewhere. Either bad or cluttered windows installs (W10 breaks frequently, I've had fresh installs have broken features, and had support remote-in to my computer and tell me, flatly, they don't know why it's broken and it should be working), or there were optimizations windows-side that were performed for some and not for others and the default settings changed.
What else? Pagefile setting? People who have worse RAM are getting improvements and people with better RAM are not feeling the benefits? Very good RAM can help a CPU perform better and in rare cases help a GPU out in games too; there needs to be more information than "32GB RAM 1080Ti i7-4790K I got performance bumps", since nobody seems to be able to find the bigger differences.
