That's the game I am waiting for to see if I should regret buying my RX Vega 64 XTX, so far I am. I could of easily bought a GTX 1080 Ti for the price doh.gif

you should have gotten air cooled card and a raijintek morpehus II

http://www.pcgameshardware.de/Vega-Codename-265481/News/Radeon-Vega-Frontier-Edition-Morpheus-II-Umbau-1233558/

also Wolfenstein II: a New colossus is a game will show the features Vega isnt using as an architecture(Probably will use async compute with 2x-FP16 operations so it will take an edge in performance with compute), with Vulkan using Intrinsic shaders? and AMD might enabled Primitive shaders(in the new drivers)

Correct, I am curious to see the performance difference between (GP100)Pascal's and Vegas' FP16 performance.

Their CPU and RAM are both much faster clocked than mine.

You have to compare a similarly spec'd system at similar clocks to say a card was performing 'low' for that type of system....

The 1080 at HardOCP scores an average of 142.5 @ 1440p with the newest drivers, and at computerbase it scores 113.8 with the same drivers.

You see what I'm saying. The CPUs are different.. and we know that high frequency CPUs perform better in this game. They are running 400mhz faster than I am.. with much faster RAM as well.

And none of this does anything to detract from the fact that I saw an improvement after the update on my own system. As I said before.. I don't care why.. whether it was the update.. the driver suddenly 'working' or whatever. But I know myself that it is what it is.

Cheers. smile.gif

Thread Starter
I did some research and found that a person can have task scheduled as soon as you log in. Gone are the days where a specific time was scheduled.
People need to look into what's being "scheduled" and see if it's happening right now because it's set to "At log on of any user".
If your hard drive is thrashing (use resource monitor to find out) it can have a negative impact on performance.

That can be a source to why some are having performance problems.

Computerbase.de is using 100% resolution while HardOCP is using the same settings we are with resolution set to Dynamic. My "low" results I had when I was testing after the FCU was because I set it to 100% resolution instead of using Dynamic like I did with the first test. My scores are the same again after using Dynamic instead of 100% resolution.

No... there's not a difference of ~30fps by changing from dynamic to 100% res. I tested that before.
